Dear Senator/Congressperson_______:

I am writing to urge you to join the historic call to ban war in the
heavens. The U.S. is now poised to move the arms race into space. This
would be a tragic mistake.

Hundreds and hundreds of billions of our hard earned tax dollars will be
wasted on this plan to have the U.S. "control and dominate" space. The U.S.
Space Command calls itself the "Master of Space." This kind of language is
provocative.

We are told that there is no money available for education, health care,
child care, public transit, social security, and environmental clean-up.
But the money is available. If we shut down the research, development,
testing, and deployment of Theatre Missile Defense (TMD), National Missile
Defense (NMD), Anti-Satellite (ASAT), and the space-based lasers programs
we'd have enough money to do all these important programs, and more.

Real security will not come from the nuclearization and weaponization of
space. Real security will come from a sustainable environment, well
educated children, and healthy citizens.

Please join Rep. Dennis Kucinich (D-OH) in promoting the "Space Preservation
Act" that would protect the heavens from the bad seed of war.
